Long before the lights, stages, and crowded dance floors, Mir Mohd. HAMAD, known professionally as DJ HAMY, discovered his fascination with music and DJ culture during childhood.

In 2005, he began experimenting with music mixing through Virtual DJ, turning a childhood fascination into a serious passion. His early journey took him behind the decks at private house parties in Doha, Qatar, where he began developing his instinct for rhythm, transitions, and crowd energy.

In 2008, life brought him to Bangladesh. Starting from a completely new environment, DJ HAMY took the time to understand Dhaka’s evolving nightlife and music culture before officially beginning his professional DJ journey in 2013.

Over the years, he has performed across many of Dhaka’s renowned and influential venues, sharing stages and experiences with some of the city’s finest DJs and becoming a respected name within the local music community.

What defines DJ HAMY is versatility. Rather than being confined to a single sound, he continuously prepares himself to adapt to different audiences, environments, and genres — from sophisticated lounge sessions and private celebrations to high-energy club nights and large-scale events.

More than a DJ, DJ HAMY is a student of music, a curator of energy, and an artist behind the decks.
